PLAYSTATION 3 FLASHING LIGHT PROBLEM
If Red and Green Flashing Lights appear on the Playstation 3 Console, it generally means that the unit is not getting adequate ventilation. This may be caused by a build up of dust, or the unit may need to be moved to a different place where it can get adequate air flow to the system. For example, if the PlayStation 3 is in a small space and near other electronics such as a receiver or amplifier, it will be more likely to overheat. In this case, the PS3 motherboard needs to be serviced. By the time the problem occurs, moving the PS3 to a different location is probably not enough to fix it.
